Eisner goes 4-for-5, River Chiefs Move to 10-5
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Ben Eisner, the Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-2. Eisner was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the River Chiefs. Chippewa goes to 10-5 with the win.
Eisner contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Chippewa in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Eisner took a fastball from Juan Ayala and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the River Chiefs to leap in front, 3-2.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Eisner said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
