|
The Coney Island Cyclones scored a 5-4 win versus the St. Paul Saints at Saints Ballpark. Coney Island pitcher Francisco Valdez nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Coney Island has a record of 6-8.
Chad Larson, who is tied for 2nd in the BOL in total bases with 33, aided the Coney Island cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Larson told the Coney Island Bulletin.
