Vikings Win in Glorious Fashion
The Victoria Vikings scored a 2-1 win versus the San Angelo Mustangs at The drakkar. Victoria pitcher Jack Thompson nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Vikings, now 12-2, have been on fire in the early going.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Victoria trailing 1-0, José Peña hit a curveball from Sam Thomas to right for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Vikings had a walk-off win.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Peña told the Victoria Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."
