Lake Monsters Get Road Win, 10-6
|
Okanagan catcher Robert Gartz was instrumental in his team's 10-6 win over the Coney Island Cyclones. Gartz went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lake Monsters. Neil Coffin earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. At 8-4, the Lake Monsters have played well so far.
Gartz had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.
