Jing hits 2 home runs, Bush Wackers Move to 8-4
|
Brisbane and St. Petersburg duked it out at Baylor Ballpark and the Bush Wackers came out victorious.
A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Yeow-whye Jing led the Brisbane Bush Wackers to a 6-3 win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans. The save went to Danny Posada, his 3rd this season.
Jing contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brisbane in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Jing took a cutter from Sylvester Norwood and stroked the home run to right-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Bush Wackers to leap in front, 4-3.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Jing told the Brisbane Observer.
The Pelicans fall to 4-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2033 season.
