River Chiefs Rally For Late Win Over Knights
The Kingwood Knights and Chippewa River Chiefs provided some drama at Stable Park.

The Chippewa River Chiefs topped the Kingwood Knights, 7-6, with youngster Tommy Wilson playing a key role. Wilson was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the River Chiefs in the win. The win was Eddie Zuniga's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Matt Fernandez took the loss for Kingwood. Stu Gale picked up the save, his 4th.

Brian Arms hit a 2-run double off Colin Cole in the top of the eighth, which put the River Chiefs in front, 7-5. In addition to the double, Arms had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Wilson said.

The Knights fall to 4-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
