Ramírez goes 3-for-4, Frosties Move to 7-2
Barrow played host to West Virginia at the friendly confines of The Blizzard Bowl.

Barrow second baseman Ramiro Ramírez played a vital role in his team's 7-2 triumph over West Virginia. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 runs for Barrow. Rennie Hill saved it for Barrow.

Bill Corkum had a big run-scoring single for the Frosties in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Barrow leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a knuckle curve from Pedro Morales and stroked the single to right. It was his 15th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Frosties ahead, 4-2.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Ramírez told the Barrow Chronicle. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

Barrow, at 7-2, has sizzled in the early going.
