Emeralds Top Road Warriors Behind Easton, 3-2
|
The Eugene Emeralds got a stellar performance from pitcher Chuck Easton, who handcuffed the Westside offense en route to a 3-2 win at Road Warriors Field. Eugene, now 1-5, is off to a slow start.
Easton delivered a quality start for Eugene. The 6' 0" right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.
Afterward, Emeralds manager Ricardo Martínez was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
