The Bethesda Hornets defeated the Bel Air Princes, 4-3, in Donnie Moore League action at Hornets Field, with Bethesda pitcher Javier Rodríguez named player of the game. The win was Ricky Alvarado's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Shayne Cluff took the loss for Bel Air. Bethesda, now 4-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from shortstop Sean Witter. For the game, Witter was 2-5 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Bethesda a 4-3 lead.
