The Charleston Panthers overcame a good performance by Coney Island catcher Dusty Scott to knock off Coney Island, 8-6, at Franklin Mountains Field. Scott went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win was Jack Dinner's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Andreas Vos took the loss for Coney Island. Naozane Kato nailed down his 2nd save.
Mike Burge helped out the Charleston cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a double.
