The Nut House was the site of a tense game between the Houston Sting and Tree City Black Squirrels.
The Houston Sting got a sterling performance from designated hitter Justin Simino, but the Black Squirrels still prevailed, 3-2. Simino was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2-4 with a home run. Tree City, at 3-1, is off to a blistering start.
Ramon Abreu had a key at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the third for Tree City. With a runner on 3rd and the Black Squirrels leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Feels good to get the job done," Abreu said after the game.
