Panthers Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
The Charleston Panthers defeated the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 3-1, at Elks Stadium today. Leading the charge for Charleston was first baseman Ryosaku Nishimura. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Naozane Kato recorded his 1st save for Charleston. The Panthers, now 1-2, have not found much traction so far in 2033.
Nishimura had a key at-bat for Charleston early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Charleston an early 3-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nishimura.
