Dancin' Outlaws Turn Back Brisbane, 5-4
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws picked up a win at Penlee Park, knocking off the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Robert Escobedo, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Escobedo got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Escobedo allowed 4 earned runs. West Virginia is now 1-1.
Raúl Molina was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for West Virginia. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Lúcio Barrón. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Molina.
