Loss to Tune-Ups Extends Jacksonville Losing Streak
|
Youngstown played host to Jacksonville at the friendly confines of Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.
The Youngstown Tune-Ups topped the Jacksonville Hellcats, 4-2, in Cory Lidle League action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The player of the game was Youngstown pitcher and Baragua, Cuba native Luis Vásquez. Keisaburo Kanada got the save, his 37th in 41 chances.
Andy Liska swatted a 3-run home run for Youngstown in the bottom of the third. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"We'll savor this win," Liska told the Youngstown Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
