Black Bears Win at Spokane, 10-7
|
Fraser Valley and Spokane duked it out at The Kennel and the Black Bears came out victorious.
The Fraser Valley Black Bears beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 10-7, at The Kennel. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Lemn Onkwani, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jesús Rivera was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 9 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Onkwani had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Black Bears went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Onkwani.
Spokane has now lost 4 in a row.
