Enforcers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Marysville
|
The Atlantic City Enforcers defeated the Marysville Monarchs, 6-3, in Cory Lidle League action at Mitts Fieldhouse, with Atlantic City pitcher José Toro named player of the game. Katsunan Sato was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 11 save opportunities. Atlantic City is now 57-102, Marysville 73-86.
The Enforcers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jelmar Geels. For the game, Geels went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Atlantic City a 2-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Geels said after the game.
