Hawks Shut Out Tune-Ups, Taihei Winner
|
Boise Hawks hurler Tokuma Taihei logged a 1-hit, complete game shutout over the Tune-Ups, stopping them 1-0 at Basque Block Field today.
"I felt great out there," Taihei said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this."
He rung up 8 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks in the performance.
In 25 starts this season Taihei has chalked up a 10-11 record and a 4.34 ERA.
