The South Carolina Bombers picked up a win at Bomber Ballpark, knocking off the Havana Stogies, 7-2. Starting pitcher Ange Schmit was an essential part of his team's success. Schmit picked up the win for South Carolina, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. The Bombers bumped their record to 24-22 with this latest triumph.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from right fielder Shawn Harris. For the game, Harris was 2-3 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave South Carolina a 3-2 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Harris told the South Carolina Times.
