Bulldogs Stymie Sandy Springs, Take 7-1 Win

The Spokane Bulldogs picked up a win at The Kennel, knocking off the Sandy Springs Spartans, 7-1. Starting pitcher Ian Portz played a key role in the triumph. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 81-74 with this latest triumph.
Matt Tullos, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in home runs with 23, aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Sandy Springs manager José Parra.
