Mustang Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Alejandro Sandoval, the Carson City Mustang defeated the Cincinnati Snaps, 11-7. Sandoval was 4-8 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Mustang. Reliever Yoshimochi Chikuda picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Keith Smith took the loss. Carson City is now 77-75, while Cincinnati is 66-87.

Sandoval had a game-changing double in the top of the 17th. On a 1-0 cutter from Keith Smith, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Mustang a 8-7 lead. It was the 11th double of the year for Sandoval.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Sandoval.
