The Frisco Rams did just enough to sneak past the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 5-4, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Frisco pitcher Barrett Lamb earned player of the game honors. The win was Cheng-qian Xia's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Keisaburo Kanada took the loss for Youngstown. Callum Butler, credited with the save, is now 24 for 27 in save opportunities.

Jiro Takahashi made it 5-4 in favor of Frisco when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The red-hot Rams went on to win.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Frisco manager Will Bartlett.
