Victory Over Republic Takes Bloomington to 31-17
|
Camden Mansel made an impact in the 5-3 Bloomington win over So Cal. Mansel, who leads the TML in RBI with 43, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Paco Berroa earned the save for Bloomington, his 16th. The Blazers have an impressive 31-17 record.
Mansel contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bloomington in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Mansel took a sinker from Todd Mullins and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Blazers to leap in front, 5-3.
Mansel called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
