Hackers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a stellar performance from pitcher Tim Carson, who handcuffed the Riverside offense en route to a 3-2 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The Hackers bumped their record to 86-65 with this latest triumph.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from third baseman Lance Vallery. For the game, Vallery went 2 for 3 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 154th hit of the season gave Silicon Valley a 3-2 lead.
"This place was jumping at the end," Vallery said.
