The Kansas City Tornadoes topped the Georgia Grays, 4-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Debris Field. The player of the game was Kansas City pitcher Na'il bin Bashshar. bin Bashshar got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 9 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. bin Bashshar allowed 2 earned runs. Kansas City, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
Masahiro Tomita aided the Kansas City cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
