The Carson City Mustang picked up a win at Cowboys Stadium, knocking off the Topeka Predators, 5-3. Starting pitcher Raúl Lugo played a key role in the triumph. Gerry LaForest earned his 20th save in 26 chances. Carson City is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Mustang got a big at-bat from third baseman Kong Ong. For the game, Ong went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 4th double of the season gave Carson City a 5-3 lead.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ong.
