Spartans Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus DeKalb
|
The Sandy Springs Spartans topped the DeKalb Cornhuskers by the score of 7-3, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Satomi Takano. Takano was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Spartans. Sandy Springs reliever Miguel Rodríguez picked up the win to move to 9-2. Steve Henderson suffered the loss. Sandy Springs, at 78-70, sits in third place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Takano hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Spartans into the lead, 2-1.
"We did a lot of things right," said Takano.
