Frisco starter Badarisaila Suravinda put a stranglehold on the Boise offense. The left-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Rams to a 7-1 win. Frisco has now won 5 straight.

Kunihiro Shibata had a big run-scoring single for the Rams in the bottom of the second inning. With Frisco leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Juan Pérez and stroked the single to center. It was his 150th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rams ahead, 2-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Boise manager Tom Becker.
