Hackers Get Road Win, 6-3
|
Silicon Valley right-hander T.J. Sparks made an effective start against the Youngstown Tune-Ups at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, leading his team to a 6-3 win. The second-place Hackers have won 4 consecutive games.
Francisco Fernández drove in one run for Silicon Valley. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jun Zhou. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.
"Enjoyed this one," Sparks told the Silicon Valley Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
