Youngstown starter Bruce Easton pitched effectively against the Phoenix Lights at UFO Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Keisaburo Kanada was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 33 of 36 save opportunities. Youngstown bumps their record to 73-74 with the win.

Mark Southland hit a run-scoring double off Tim Gary in the top of the fifth, which put the Tune-Ups in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Southland had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Youngstown manager Robby Tate.
