Cornhuskers Come Back Late to Clip Enforcers
|
Carlos Espinosa did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Atlantic City Enforcers from losing, 5-4, to the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Corn Crib. Espinosa went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winner was DeKalb reliever Luis Domínguez, now 2-3. The loser was Katsunan Sato. Atlantic City has now lost 6 straight.
Tatsuhiko Torii was the walk-off hero for DeKalb. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cornhuskers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Torii said.
