Hackers Prevail, 6-5, Over Rock River
|
Fans who gathered at The Rat Hole saw a good contest between the Silicon Valley Hackers and Rock River Rats.
Tatsuhito Suzuki did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Rock River Rats from losing, 6-5, to the Silicon Valley Hackers at The Rat Hole. Suzuki was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Silicon Valley reliever Lee Krause, now 9-1. The loser was Lúcio Barrón.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from designated hitter John Berdahl. For the game, Berdahl was 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 19th double of the season gave Silicon Valley a 6-4 lead.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Silicon Valley manager Bob Miller.
The Hackers bumped their record to 78-61 with this latest triumph.
