Wolverines Come Back Late to Clip Hawks
Wichita got a first-rate effort from pitcher Magyver McKenzie, who frustrated Boise hitters en route to a 2-1 Wolverines triumph at Howling Park. Wichita reliever Al Hrabosky Jr. picked up the win, upping his record to 10-5. Tokuma Taihei took the loss. Wichita improves to 81-59 with the win. They lead their division by 5˝ games.

Juan Gruzmán was the walk-off hero for Wichita. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolverines second baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Gruzmán said.
