Another game, another loss for the struggling Marysville Monarchs.

Getting a good performance from second baseman Mark Spencer, the Frisco Rams defeated the Marysville Monarchs, 3-1. Spencer slugged 2 home runs for the Rams. Mark Edwards earned the win to go to 6-7. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts.

Spencer had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Rams went on to win.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Marysville manager Jorge Magana.

Marysville is in the throes of a 10-game losing streak.
