Toreros Lose to Islanders, 7-2
|
The Hawaii Islanders topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. The player of the game was Hawaii pitcher Alexis Garrett. Garrett picked up the win for Hawaii, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Hawaii has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from designated hitter Douglas Dannattet. For the game, Dannattet was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
