The Frisco Rams downed the Marysville Monarchs, 5-3, at Outlander Park. John Bloom led the way, going 3-for-4 for Frisco. The winner was Frisco reliever Andrés Nevárez, now 3-1. The loser was Sylvester Norwood. Callum Butler got the save, his 16th in 18 chances.

Won-keun Park tried to rally his team. In the top of the ninth, with Marysville trailing 5-3, Park drew a walk. But it was too little too late. The Rams came out on the losing end. "The effort was there," said Frisco manager Will Bartlett. "That's all I can ask of my guys."

The losses continue to add up for Marysville, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
