Monarchs Continue Skid Thanks to Shibata, Rams
|
Kunihiro Shibata made an impact in the 7-2 Frisco win over Marysville. Shibata, who is tied for 3rd in the ACL in triples with 9, went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Frisco reliever Ethan Harris was the winner. His record is now 7-2. The losing pitcher was Ryan Le Carré. Marysville's current losing streak has reached 8 games.
Jung-hyun Yoon went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI for Frisco. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ryan Le Carré. It was his 18th RBI of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Yoon.
