Carson City designated hitter Pedro Moreno was instrumental in his team's 12-5 win over the Fraser Valley Black Bears. Moreno went 2-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustang. Raúl Lugo picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-9. He struck out 7 in 7 innings. Carson City goes to 67-66, Fraser Valley to 75-61.

Moreno contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Carson City in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Moreno took a changeup from Neil Coffin and stroked the single to left-center. His 81st hit of the season allowed the Mustang to leap in front, 2-1.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Moreno.
