McKenzie Now 13-5 After Subduing Rats
The Rock River Rats and Wichita Wolverines were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at The Rat Hole.

Wichita used a superb performance from starting pitcher Magyver McKenzie to down the Rock River Rats, 9-1. The first-place Wolverines, at 78-57, now lead their division by 4˝ games.

The Wolverines liked what they saw from McKenzie. The 19-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Rats to 1 earned run on 2 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 12.

"I liked his command," said Wichita manager Dave Moran. "Magyver was throwing strikes."
