The Long Island Ducks got a superb performance from left fielder Griff Horrocks, but the Madison Beehive still won the game, 12-11. Horrocks was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Duane Fraser was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 29 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Beehive have a dismal 47-88 record.

The Beehive got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Gene Rush. For the game, Rush went 1-1, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Madison a 10-8 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Rush told the Madison Gazette.
