The Carson City Mustang defeated the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 11-6, at Cowboys Stadium. Carson City left fielder Lee Cong was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Keith Noble notched his 13th save in 19 chances. Carson City goes to 66-66, Fraser Valley to 75-60.
Kong Ong aided the Carson City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 2-5 with 2 singles.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Carson City manager Nobuharu Chikafuji.
