The Madison Beehive had to overcome a big game from Long Island center fielder Griff Horrocks to leave Long Island Stadium with a 10-8 victory. Horrocks was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Duane Fraser was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 28 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Beehive have a dismal 46-88 record.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when catcher Gonzalo Rodríguez hit a double. The Beehive went on to win.
