Wolverines Win at Phoenix, 7-3

Wichita and Phoenix got after it at UFO Field.
The Wichita Wolverines topped the Phoenix Lights, 7-3, in Bob Moose League action at UFO Field. The player of the game was Wichita pitcher and El Progreso, Honduras native Joe Kearns. Wichita leads the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division by 4˝ games.
Wichita used the clutch hitting of Alan Isaac to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to give the Wolverines the lead, 3-1. For the game, Isaac had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Isaac.
