Rats Prevail, 4-2, Over Boise
|
Rock River rode a fine outing from starter José Mendoza to victory over the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. The final score was 4-2. The Rats bumped their record to 77-54 with this latest triumph.
Don Newbold aided the Rock River cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Newbold told reporters after the game.
