Tune-Ups Sneak Past Storm Troopers, 5-4
|
The Youngstown Tune-Ups electrified the home crowd at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum with a walk-off win.
Starting pitcher Bruce Easton pitched well enough to help the Youngstown Tune-Ups beat the San Antonio Storm Troopers by the score of 5-4. Youngstown is now 62-70, San Antonio 71-61.
Carlton Tuff was the walk-off hero for Youngstown. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tune-Ups pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Tuff told reporters after the game.
