|
The Topeka Predators picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Silicon Valley Hackers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Michiomi Moteki was an essential part of his team's success. Moteki went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-13. Andrés Hernández notched his 6th save in 6 chances.
Alex Balcarcel, who is tied for 3rd in the FFL in hits with 148, helped out the Topeka cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Balcarcel said after the game.
The Predators now have a record of 65-67 with the win over Silicon Valley.
