|
Rock River pitcher Lúcio Barrón did his part in helping his team beat the Phoenix Lights, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The first-place Rats, at 75-54, now lead their division by 3 games.
Nelson Middleton's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Rock River. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Rock River leading 3-2, the center fielder hit a 2-run single.
Middleton attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
