8-4 Cornhuskers Win over Monarchs Evens Season Record
|
Neal Harris made an impact in the 8-4 DeKalb win over Marysville. Harris went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. DeKalb reliever Ryan Shelton picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Gabriel Mendoza took the loss. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 64-64 with this latest triumph.
Harris had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Gabriel Mendoza, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Cornhuskers a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Harris.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said DeKalb skipper Eduardo Varerla.
