Enforcers Fall Short, 2-1, at Long Island
|
The Long Island Ducks went home winners at Long Island Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Bill Brock. Brock silenced the Atlantic City Enforcers, enabling Long Island to grab the 2-1 win. Long Island, now 59-67, holds last place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Ed Jackson was at the plate when Long Island scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ducks to go in front, 2-1.
"I really like what we did out there today," Jackson said after the game.
