Albert Rivas did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boise Hawks from losing, 7-3, to the Topeka Predators at The Field at Richmond. Rivas was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Juan Disla picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 3-2. Topeka, now 64-65, holds 4th place in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.

Had Chris McGraw not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, McGraw hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Predators.

"I really like what we did out there today," McGraw said after the game.
