|
Silicon Valley pitcher Kanichi Kaneshiro gave the Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Boise left Basque Block Field with a 3-2 win. Kaneshiro allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 5 innings. Sung-moon Lee picked up the win, improving his season record to 13-3. He struck out 7 in 7.2 innings. Boise is now riding a 5-game win streak.
Boise took a 3-2 lead on Salvador Cruz's 46th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Cruz hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Silicon Valley pitcher Remco Hassink shaking his head.
